This week, as part of Operation Sceptre, The Wallsend Neighbourhood Policing team are joining us on the 22nd May, to raise awareness on the impact of knife crime.
As part of Operation Sceptre, officers are targeting suspects, carrying out additional patrols, searches and warrants, as well as working with partners in transport hubs to identify any criminality.
They will also be visiting pupils at schools and colleges across the region to engage with young people.
